GDSC2025 China Regional Selection Tournament Ningbo Station and IADGE Yangtze River Delta Alliance Annual Meeting Conclude Successfully

On November 24, 2024, the GDSC2025 Fourth Global Digital Skills Championship China Regional Selection Tournament Ningbo Station and the Digital Game Education International Alliance (IADGE) Yangtze River Delta Alliance Annual Meeting came to a successful close. The event was held at Ningbo Second Technician College, attracting numerous industry elites, educators, and contestants to witness the annual grand gathering in the field of digital game education.

At the annual meeting, industry experts and representatives from educational institutions across the Yangtze River Delta region gathered to explore the development trends and future opportunities in digital skills education. Chen Dingding, Party Secretary of Ningbo Second Technician College, welcomed the guests and emphasized the alliance’s significant role in advancing digital game education.

Xu Ying, Deputy President of Ningbo Second Technician College, shared the achievements and future plans of the Yangtze River Delta Alliance since its establishment, showcasing the alliance’s progress in integrating regional resources and promoting educational cooperation. Ye Weizhong, representative of the alliance, reviewed the key accomplishments of IADGE over the past year and looked forward to its future development, instilling confidence in the alliance’s continuous growth.

Shao Jian, Director of Vocational Education at the Ningbo Education Bureau, delivered a speech highly evaluating the alliance’s work and expressing great expectations for its future role in digital skills education.

The event featured three high-quality faculty training sessions aimed at enhancing the professional capabilities of educators. In the first session, industry expert Wang Yaoxing shared his rich project experience and explored how to integrate AI technology into game design to improve efficiency. The second session was led by Ye Weizhong, head of the Chinese expert group for the 3D Digital Game Art project at the 47th WorldSkills Competition, who detailed his experience in leading contestants to the WorldSkills podium and shared how to integrate these experiences into teaching practice. The third session was an artistic and cultural experience where participants explored the unique charm of digital art through art visits.

The competition segment of GDSC2025 China Regional Selection Tournament Ningbo Station was thrilling, with contestants competing in conceptual design, 3D modeling, UV unwrapping, texture mapping, and engine output. Judges meticulously evaluated the contestants’ work, ensuring the competition’s fairness and integrity.

At the competition site, contestants showcased the endless possibilities of digital art with solid technical skills and rich creativity. Each participant shone brightly on this stage, writing a new chapter in digital skills with their technology, wisdom, and creativity.
